Unknown Crete Authentic Cretan vibes away from the resorts. A scenic trip through the Dikti Mountains to the Lassithi plateau, Cretan villages, monasteries, fortresses and the Cave of Zeus.

Opis Wycieczki

Come with us to the Dikti Mountains! Pass with us the Lashiti plateau, which is rarely visited by tourists. It is fertile plain, protected from the wind and cut off from the rest of the world, a former volcanic crater surrounded by a chain of beautiful mountains. Life on Lasithi has its slow rhythm. Visit the Cave of Psychro, it was here that the most powerful of the Olympian gods – the thunderous Zeus – was supposed to be born.

Here time has stopped. Like years ago, in taverns and cafeterias, the Cretans feast together, philosophizing about the world, life and history… showing visitors the true Greek soul.

You will not meet crowds of tourists here, but you will admire the beauty of nature untouched by man. Visiting mountain villages, you will see the daily life of the Cretans and learn about their traditions, folklore and local, traditional architecture. You will appreciate these few moments away from the tourist hustle and bustle.

Along the way, you will see many olive groves and traditional vineyards, where the world-famous local wines come from. We will also move together to mythological times, and you will see with your own eyes the Psychro Cave, in which Zeus himself was born and raised.

Finally, you will visit an atmospheric olive farm with a beautiful view of the mountains and the sea. With a guide, you will visit an olive oil factory and learn how it is produced and what other local products are made from this liquid gold. There will also be an opportunity to eat a traditional Cretan dinner (for an additional fee) among olive trees and to the accompaniment of cicadas.

Why is it worth it?

  • because no one else will tell you about Crete better than us!
  • the youngest will be enchanted by the magic of the underwater world
