Paradise beaches – the blue lagoon of Balos and pink Elafonisi in one trip.
An unusual and unique opportunity to discover two breathtaking beaches in one day, considered to be one of the most beautiful in Europe – the famous Balos lagoon and pink Elafonisi. You will experience a scenic ride and relax as you cruise around Pirate’s Bay.
Very often, being in Crete, or planning a holiday on the most beautiful Greek islands, you face a dilemma which beach to choose to feel like in paradise…
You ask, which is more beautiful: the blue lagoon of Balos or Elafonisi with its pink sand? We, the Holidea team, rose to the challenge.
Well, we have an extraordinary and unique opportunity for you to discover these two breathtaking beaches in one day.
So you can go with us to the southwest of Crete, where you will first discover Elafonisi beach, where pink sand, turquoise sea, endless dunes and unspoiled landscape will make you feel like you are in paradise.
Here you can take sea baths and fully enjoy the magic of this place (for about 2 hours).
We will then head north of Crete and experience a spectacular off-road crossing to Balos, which ends at a viewpoint where you will see the lagoon from a bird’s eye view in all its glory. As one of the few, we give you the opportunity to go down from the cliff to the lagoon itself, where for the next 2 hours, you will be able to enjoy the benefits of this unique place fully.
There will be plenty of turquoise color of the sea, white and pink sand, bliss and views almost like from a postcard.
It doesn’t end there! The trip is complemented by a boat trip and a stop on Gramvousa Island. The top of this island is decorated with the ruins of a Venetian fortress from the 16th century at 137m above sea level. You will have over an hour to conquer the Venetian fortress.
For the less persistent, free time on board, where there will have an opportunity to eat lunch.
Gramvousa Island is also often called the island of “pirates”, why? You will learn this from our guide, who will additionally tell you a lot of interesting facts about Crete and its inhabitants.
